David and Katy were married in Nashville at the West End United Methodist Church, which happens to be the place they met 1 year prior. Their reception was at the War Memorial building with special guest, Super T!

Their first kiss (on the lips) was at the altar.
Aubri changed Tony’s name (it used to be Joey).
Aubri’s father officiated the wedding ceremony.

Cesar + Susan :: Riverwood Mansion Wedding in Nashville :: Photography + Video

I will not soon forget Cesar and Susan’s wedding day. Yes, it was a magical day full of love and commitment, but something else happened on that rainy first day of May in 2010… the great Nashville flood!

The wedding was scheduled for 6:30pm at the beautiful Riverwood Mansion in Nashville. We had planned on arriving at Riverwood at 3:30 in the afternoon for the rehearsal and then to begin taking photos. It of course had been raining all day and I had to re-route a few times in order to even find passable roads. Fortunately, we made it… not knowing that the rain would continue off and on throughout the evening and reap unprecedented damage upon our great city!

Fortunately for us, the flood waters did not effect us at Riverwood. We only heard about the floating buildings and submerged highways via phone calls and facebook status updates! Cesar and Susan decided to finish the reception as planned and they left at 11pm that night.

Regardless of the weather, it was a beautiful wedding and the reception was full of music, dancing and a good time

was had by all.

Bobby & Ericka were married at Inglewood Baptist Church and their reception was at Riverwood Mansion. They were such a joy to work with. Isn’t young love amazing!

We had a great time shooting the photos and video for Andy and Kim! It was a beautiful ceremony and reception at “The Journey,” located at the Franklin Factory. Since the wedding was just one week before Christmas, Kim wanted the ceremony lit simply by candles and some Christmas lights. This made things a little challenging for us, but we are very happy with the results!

Tommy and Heather’s long awaited wedding day started out as a rainy Halloween morning. But by early afternoon the sun came out and provided the backdrop for another beautiful Cedarwood wedding and reception.

Since this was my first “Halloween wedding,” I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I was very impressed by the planning and design done by the team at Cedarwood. From the creatively carved pumpkins, table settings and floral arrangements (by Cedarwood’s Karen Wright) to the masquerade masks and china balls, this wedding was really fun to shoot…especially in High Definition!

Tommy & Heather, you guys really know how to have fun! Thanks for letting us be a part of your awesome day. Enjoy your video!

Monique & Jason were married at Grace Cumberland Church in Nashville and their reception was at the Southgate Art Studio in the Franklin Factory. It was a little cold this day but we still had a great time celebrating with this fun couple!

Pumpkin Time!! :: Walden’s Farm Pumpkin Patch in Nashville (Photography + Video)

Normally I blog about video and photos I take for other people, but this post is about MY family! My wife Marie and I took our 3 kids to Walden’s Farm to pick out a pumpkin, but we also played in the corn maze, rode a hayride, fed some animals, climbed giant hay bails, etc. It was a great time and I took a few pictures along the way.

A few days later we carved one of the pumpkins and the video above captures that little experience. Below are some photos from the pumpkin patch…

Clinton + Lymari’s Highlight Wedding Video :: Ceremony @ Christ Church Cathedral :: Reception @ The University Club in Nashville

Clinton & Lymari’s wedding took place at the beautiful Christ Church Cathedral in Nashville. They were great couple to get to know and I enjoyed being able to video their wedding. Helen Morisette did a great job as usual coordinating the wedding, as well as the reception which was at The University Club. There was certainly no shortage of dancers on the dance floor this night!

It was also great to get to work with their photographer Angie Sliger again!

Family Portrait Photos :: The Evan’s Family

I love shooting families (in the good way of course)! The Evan’s family are great friends so that makes it even more enjoyable. We actually did this photo session in November of 2007. I wasn’t blogging back then so I thought I would share these photos as I start shooting Fall Family Photos this year!

The Evan’s are an awesome family with a great story (that I don’t have room to go into here!). They grew up in Belize as a family of 7, and I have had the pleasure of meeting all of them at one point or another. Mom and Dad still live in Belize with 2 of their 5 children, and the other 3 children live here in Nashville. So while they were here visiting, we took the opportunity to take some family shots with their oldest girls (Tanya & Nila) and 2 of their adorable grandchildren (Ella & Zoe). Even Grandpa Evans came along to join in the fun (the last photo with him is my favorite).
