Normally I blog about video and photos I take for other people, but this post is about MY family! My wife Marie and I took our 3 kids to Walden’s Farm to pick out a pumpkin, but we also played in the corn maze, rode a hayride, fed some animals, climbed giant hay bails, etc. It was a great time and I took a few pictures along the way.

A few days later we carved one of the pumpkins and the video above captures that little experience. Below are some photos from the pumpkin patch…

Shooting the Daswani family was a lot of fun! Vinay and Nice have 3 awesome kids that know how to pose for the camera (well, most of the time). It’s always a challenge when young children are involved in a photo shoot, but I love the challenge. They actually had a photo session a few years ago at this very location, so they wanted to come back and do it again.

For Cesar and Susan’s engagement photos, we decided to head out to Centennial Park in Nashville one brisk Fall Saturday morning. They brought along their 2 dogs, Bella and Benny, who of course had to be in the photos as well!

We will be shooting Cesar and Susan’s wedding (both video + photography) next Summer but we wanted to shoot the engagement session now in order to take advantage of the Fall colors!

I love shooting families (in the good way of course)! The Evan’s family are great friends so that makes it even more enjoyable. We actually did this photo session in November of 2007. I wasn’t blogging back then so I thought I would share these photos as I start shooting Fall Family Photos this year!

The Evan’s are an awesome family with a great story (that I don’t have room to go into here!). They grew up in Belize as a family of 7, and I have had the pleasure of meeting all of them at one point or another. Mom and Dad still live in Belize with 2 of their 5 children, and the other 3 children live here in Nashville. So while they were here visiting, we took the opportunity to take some family shots with their oldest girls (Tanya & Nila) and 2 of their adorable grandchildren (Ella & Zoe). Even Grandpa Evans came along to join in the fun (the last photo with him is my favorite).

Scott + Jennifer were married September 19, 2009 at Cheekwood. They were planning on having an outdoor ceremony in the Perennial Gardens, but the weather just wasn’t cooperating. It still turned out beautiful though. They just had to move the ceremony into the tent at the Frist Learning Center, which was where they were having the reception.

The rain did stay away just long enough to have the photo session out in the courtyard following the wedding, which allowed their photographer Kurt (khstudios) and I to get some great family and wedding party shots.

I created this trailer for Scott & Jennifer to give a little taste of what’s to come. BTW, I had a little fun with the last shot by flying Scott & Jennifer’s name through the ring and behind an m&m. I guess I’m easily entertained

Jared & Ashley were married at West End United Methodist Church in Nashville. It was a beautiful ceremony, and they were so much fun to work with. There was never a dull moment with those two! I edited this wedding trailer for them the following week of their wedding.

Karen Kaforey (with Signature Events) coordinated the weekend, and everything went smoothly from the rehearsal at the church to the reception at Union Station Hotel. It was also great to work with Angie Sliger (Angie Sliger Photography) again. As you’ll see in the wedding trailer, she really knows how to have fun with the wedding party.

The reception at Union Station was a blast. Jared & Ashley are big Vanderbilt fans and somehow managed to have Mr. C, the official Vanderbilt Commodore mascot, come join in on the fun!

I will be creating a blog for each wedding trailer (within about a week of the wedding) so it will be easy to share with friends and family.

I decided to attend the awesome Blog Camp put on by Ashley. You know, THE Ashley from AshleysBrideGuide.com. She is amazing and very helpful! I guess it was just the kick in the pants I needed. Check out her site for great info on all things weddings…
